Mood: A degree in procrastination? I think so!

Posting Photos

I recommend www.photobucket.com
Go to their website and register for an account

Once you have registered, click on the Browse button, this will bring you to your desktop. Look for the photo you want to upload and then click Submit to upload it.

Before uploading any pics for posting on the board please make sure your image size is set at "max image size: 640 x 480" if it is smaller or larger then click on the options to change the size
Your photo will now be displayed on your album

The 4 lines underneath your photo are what you use to display pictures on forums. You will most commonly use the 1st and 4th so ignore the middle ones. The 1st shows your photo as a link, and the 4th as a Picture in your post.

(Check the size of your photo, and if it is too big, you have to resize it. To reduce your picture in photobucket, click on edit, and click on 50% which should make your photo the perfect size. Only resize ONCE! If the photo looks to big, and you have resized it, refresh a couple of times, and it will change to the size you want.)

Hope this helps.... and makes sense.:dizzy:

But I'm using the Highland Pony Album as initially advised. Do we need to still use that as well as this Photo Bucket thing ?

The album is great for links and littler sig pics e.t.c, I mainly use Photobucket for pasting bigger size photies straight into the post so you don't have viewers then linking on to see them. hope that makes sense! :)

But Fleas, I thought we had been specifically asked NOT to do that !
Not that I COULD do it anyway, but I thought it took up too much memory in the forum pages or something.

:help:
Have managed to get photos on to photobucketshop.com or what ever it is, have managed to shrink them and even got it to create URL type things for each photo, but now what?! How do we get them on to the HEPC forum? Bear in mind that we don't even know how to cut and paste, even if we can recognise the concept!! Tried to save the page to my documents and send it out that way, but that doesn't seem to be the answer!!

do this one at a time. Use the cursor to highlight the url and then click edit from the toolbar, choose copy; minimise the photobucket site, go to HPEC site and post a new topic and put cursor into the box, click on edit, click on paste - it should appear.... I am not very good at this stuff either....

Thanks, with the new PB there are now 4 lines and I have amended Scotts original instructions.

As for the "gobbledegoop" if you click on "Edit" (1st icon, in the right corner, in your post) then it will allow you to correct anything that you have written ;)
