Went to see Status Quo last night

Was not sure what Quo would be like without Rick Parfitt but as they were appearing very locally ...normally a good concert requires travelling 50+ miles, this was only 20 :) so we decided to go. Have seen Quo many times before & just love the energy of their concerts....I love to feel the music through my feet :D
The support act were a local band, mature gents who wrote their own R&B songs, they were excellent :)
Quo were brilliant as ever:banana::banana::banana::clap::clap::clap: Francis Rossi did lead vocals on many of the songs, it is impressive how fit he is, playing, pogo-ing...not as much as 20 years ago :D and the head banging is restrained...probably has neck arthritis:D but despite the need for a thumb strapping which he threw away in disgust as it kept unwrapping, his guitar playing is still amazing. John, the bassist, took the lead vocals on a few songs and the new member did a solo...he was OK. Instead of the synchronised guitar playing theat Francis and Rick would do they had choreographed moves for the 3 of them, & sometimes 4 of them when the keyboard player swopped to his guitar. It all worked well and the energy was great. The crowd were as enthusiastic as ever:) Ears still ringing this morning:D

Thats brilliant. I'd hate to think of Francis Rossi sitting with his pipe and slippers somewhere. Old rockers keep on to the end! Glad you had a good time.:clap:

I'm now going to see Bad Manners at the end of November and I am quite ridiculously overexcited - even in my dotage I still adore Ska music as its so happy :D:D
