On board Thyme at last

Today my instructor came and rode Thyme for most of the lesson and then I got on. Really did feel a little nervous. Just walked and transitions, figures etc. I did have some difficulty getting off. Couldn't get my leg with new knee over her bum, I used my old method but the problem is I cant move my leg sideways without hurting.

My friend rode her last night and she went well. YO has recently got two collie puppies who are horrors. When my friend was trotting one ran at them barking on the other side of the fence and then later did it again at canter. Very pleased with my girlie as she just looked and carried on.

Well done for getting going, slow but sure. Are you still having physio for your knee? Take it steady.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

It must have felt wonderful to be back in the saddle. I hope the pain getting off eases as you heal, take it gently.

It sounds like well done is due to you both.

I was only on enforced rest for a month-ish and I know I couldn't stop grinning all day after my first ride. I'm easing myself back in but still bareback so am trying to be sensible - a fall on this ground is definitely against doctors orders :eeek:
