Congratulations to my OH & Ladarna of Langley

......they are the Barefoot champions again:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana: They were presented with their award by Peter Wight!!! They also got a bronze Yorkshire award rosette:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:
My ponies were not slacking either:) Malin got her 100km rosette....it has taken us 5 years to get here as she only goes to a ride or 2 each year due to trailer loading issues :) Myrtle got her 200km, 2 seasons for her to reach this mark:clap::clap::clap: and I,too, got a bronze Yorkshire rosette. We also got a few goodies...little pots of Silver Feet & chocolates.
This haul was achieved just by doing short Pleasure Rides but plenty of them so for those of you thinking about trying PRs do think about Associate Membership of EGB so you are assigned to a group local to you...have a look at the EGB website & it will show you a link your local group. Most groups have a page on their website about their awards...there is usually one for native ponies in amongst many others, young riders, mature riders etc etc as well as the distance cards that accrue your rides year on year until you get a fab rosette with your pony's name on the tail ribbon...well that is what our group do:) Ladarna got her 1750 last year & is well on her way to 2000!

:hail::hail: to you and yours L-J, how fantastic!

That's motivation for me and IP now - I think we are Wessex, I'll have to look it up.

Well done L-J and Ed and team :clap: Inspiration to us all to get off our backsides and give it a go, especially as you manage to keep all of your ponies going and work.

Midge, yes you are in Wessex group, so am I but not much use in Scotland so when renewal comes I have to join SERC, if and when I get anyone fit enough to enjoy a PR. However I am helping out at Loch Ness Man v Horse in the spring!

Nkkki Brown, an EGB rider local to us, and her sister are hoping to take part in the Loch Ness ride this year. They did the Welsh one last year.

I only work 2 x 1/2 days a week & OH does 3.5 days a week so neither of us full time but do have 8 ponies to get/keep fit...keeps me out of mischief once the weather is better.
