2017 AGM_March 19th Market Harborough

Not sure if I am jumping the gun here or not. Do we know when and where this year's AGM will be held? I just wanted to do a bit of forward planning .......... would like to get along to it if I possibly can.

There is a HPEC Committee meeting coming up shortly so I expect we will get confirmation of dates and venues after that. Will try to get dates and location for you if I can/ My recollection is that it will be Midlands - Market Harborough rings a bell.

Whoopee - I have friends who stay in a village a few miles down the road! I feel a visit coming on - haven't seen them since our wedding nearly twelve years ago.

From when I got Cara in 2008 up until a couple of years ago it was held in a village hall in a tiny place called Charley near Loughborough. I got lost every time I went, I always said that they took all the signposts away in the war the other side of Melton and never put them back. You do not want to have to stop like I did and ask if anyone knows the way to Charley :heh
hee: Although it was quite central in the country I think its quite nice to have it as a moveable feast as it gives people in other areas the chance to go, even if its been a bit far for me. I shall make the best of it this time.

I don't recall it ever being held in this venue before. Great that people we don't often see at the AGM will be there.

Hi, I have been a member for years but never posted on the forum due to log in problems, which have kindly been sorted out by Lianne. The AGM this year is being hosted by myself, mum and sister, and is being held in Lubenham village hall. Lubenham is just outside market Harborough on the road to Lutterworth. If anyone locally would like to lend a hand, or has small stall they would like to bring along, please Let me know. If anybody has any donations for the raffle they will be great fully recieved! We are really looking forward to hosting the event in the Leicestershire area this year, and look forward to seeing everyone.

Do I need to inform anyone in particular if I am able to attend? It'll probably be a bit of a last minute decision that's all........

You should have had info and booking form by email, Joanne. Food is prebooked and paid for but could be organised on the day. Lianne is the person to contact. Some of us from NE are going down on the Saturday and staying overnight - if you want to join in with that we would need to know in advance (think a shared room might be available) but if making your own way on the day itself just turn up. Be lovely to see you and once my hand healed up we can look to arrange our much planned and delayed hack!

All members in 2016/17 and members who have paid their subs for 2017/18 should have received their AGM papers in the post in the last few weeks.

If anyone is thinking of coming to the AGM we will need the booking form and payment posted to us ideally before 6 March 2017. The address to post to is on the booking form. Alternatively contact hpecsecretary@gmail.com if you have not received any AGM papers and were expecting some and we can investigate whether you are a paid up member or not and if we have made a mistake.

I don't recall receiving any papers, but I may have overlooked them somewhere:dizzy: I'll just make my way down on the day....I seem to remember paying our subs actually at the AGM in the past.

Rebecca - Zephyr has had some keyhole surgery to his tendon sheath, so not sure what the future holds - he's ok and turned out, but I think it's just a case of wait and see.........maybe I need another Highland :heh hee:

Poor boy but he could recover well from that. Humph had this and it was slow recovery but he came back into full work. Not that I'd dissuade you from another highland .... :heh hee:
