Fit as a Flee

I'm posting this on behalf of Sara Fleetwood and Kyle (our Junior member champion) who has been taking care of Ruby for the month of March... so here from Ruby's diary....

" Roving Ruby was handed over to "Team Flee" at the AGM. We managed to squeeze her in the back with all the rosettes and trophies (ahem)! She proved to be a very good traveller (although a bit rubbish at spotting Eddie Stobart truck names).

On arrival at Flee Towers she was introduced to our Highland ponies, Precious Lassie of Combebank (Pea) and Katie of Combebank, our Fell ponies; Hesketh Tuff Stuff (Rodney) and his deranged mother Hesketh Tinka Belle and our neurotic Shetland - the grandly named BycullaCor Blimey (Corbie). She soon made herself at home and became one of the gang.

The month of March at Flee Towers is dedicated to "getting at" for the showing season ahead and this applies to both ponies and humans. Thus in her 6 weeks with us Roving Ruby has put in many miles of work with the ponies and attended 3 fun runs and a ducathalon (cycling and running) with the humans.

we pass her on to her next host family in tip top condition and as fit as a flee (pun intended).

Looking forward to seeing all of our Highland pony friends soon

Love from all at Flee Towers

So thank you to Team Flee for hosting Ruby and sounds like she has been very busy indeed...... she will be arriving with another member very soon.... who will it be next I wonder.

Wow Ruby sounds like she's been well exercised!! It all sounds very exhausting!! A ducathalon, I think Ruby must be very slim by now then, maybe I need a visit to Fleetwood Towers too.

Impressive fitness regime. Presumably ruby didn't have to have her grazing too restricted then!

Sounds exhausting, Ruby. Any photos? Would love to see her with more Combebank ponies, especially Katie who is big sister to several lovely ponies including my Madeleine. Where next for Ruby, I wonder ?
