Signature Pictures that are too long/too big *PLEASE READ*

Hope this is Ok Claire.

FAO everyone with a Signature that is over 4 piccies long/or quite large, could I please ask you to reduce your signature to 4 or less pictures, as I have noticed that the forum is becoming increasingly hard to read with having to scroll along all the time, to read one post.

I hope you dont think I am being a pain, just want the whole Forum to run as smooth as possible.

If anyone needs help with re-sizing a picture - email the piccie to me on davidsons@cascades.wanadoo.co.uk

and I will re-size it for you and send it back to you.

Scott

Oi Mika... I have 8 pics... they do seem to fit in, as I don't need to scroll across but I don't want to be the rebel on the board so do I have to ditch 2 of em?! (a little please smilie with big grin needed, and batting eye lashes!) :inlove:

Hi Mika
good idea, thanks for this  yes please sticky it!
Fleas - it depends on the size of your computer screen as to whether your piccies fit or not... is those with smaller screens that suffer most.

Would it be ok to ditch two or three Fleas? I know they're all beautiful piccies, it's just a few people are finding it hard to read:wavey:

Ahhhh so that's the reason it's taking me ages to load some threads (thank goodness for technical experts like Scott:clap:)
Ditto MM - it takes ages for some posts to load on the laptop at home (it does have a smaller screen but is slow anyway) but the PC at work has taken quite a while today aswell.

Broke my heart having to delete pics that we'd suffered agonies to put on but decided if the charms of Fleas couldn't get round Mika not much good me trying:banghead::banghead:

Did reluctantly understand the thinking behind it:thumbs:

Mood: Loving my lovely ponies

Thanks for this folks - when you are developing web stuff you have to test it on all sorts of browsers because it makes a huge difference how they look. I found it really interesting how hard I found it to understand that things which didn't cause a problem or looked okay to me were causing problems for other people. It's like thinking the world we see is the world, rather than just our way of seeing the world - I am lucky to have broadband and a fairly up to date PC and I have been finding things pretty slow sometimes so goodness knows what it must be like for those without. I understand about the lovely pics but that's what we have the HIPO album for.

Glad to read this. I thought that it was only me that had to scroll right the way across sometimes to read the posts!! I've saved the Highland Pony Album on my favorites so that I can go to see all the great photos with one click of the mouse. Thanks Mika, & well done

Think mine are quite big

Not sure. Can't remember what I have on there, will see when I post this.

If it's too big Scott drop me a u2u and will fix it.

In the same vein could we also please restrict avatars to a max. of 100 pixels wide please? Anyone linking from the msn HiPo Album will be fine as their thumbnails will be a maximum of 96 pixels wide.

You can check the size by right clicking on your avatar, selecting properties and viewing dimensions. If your avatar is too big and you are not sure how to resize it please ask for help!

Cheers,
