Roving Ruby visits Combebank for afternoon tea

This afternoon RR went to visit Sara Goodswen at Combebank Stud. RR met some of the mums and siblings of the Combebank ponies whose names were mentioned in the performance awards. RR was treated to tea with the ponies, first visiting the mares and enjoying some yummy coarse mix

L-R Maggie, Ellie May , an ear of Primrose, then lastly Willow of Combebank.
Maggie is mum of Madelaine and half sister to Douglas, Ellie May is another of Douglas' half sisters, and Willow, yet another of Douglas' half sisters, is mum to Dalesman and Madge.

Next to see the boys who had coarse mix plus turnips

Abbey, the not yet 2yo, Clydesdale who did not actually meet RR...Abbey is at a mouthy stage and we just envisaged RR vanishing down to Abbey's stomach:heh hee::heh hee::heh hee:

The final field with the older mares but not breeding mares, plus Forrester and a Dartmoor

Lily, Ellie May's daughter

the 2 greys are Clover and Tilly, the 2 mouse duns are Forrester and Bess....Madge's full sister..:envy::envy::envy::envy::envy: but Madge and Myrtle would be very jealous:heh

RR enjoying some Haylage

RR meets Forrester...just for Louise:)

The grey in the first three pictures looks wonderfully clean. I will have to ask her to give our lot a few tips. :heh hee::heh hee::heh hee:

Lovely! Bless Ellie May, she is the cutest pony ever, I think. Forester and RR seem to be getting on very nicely, he is such a poppet.
