Video Stressage Extended closing date

Hi Folks,

Just to confirm the closing date has been extended as my judge has gone to Turkey for a week. So no need to panic!! :eeek:

Video Stressage Competition - Entries close 29th Spet 2010

Here it is again folks, Video stressage HPEC style

So for those that wanted to do it again (you mad crazy fools) and those that didn't do it last time please, please give it a go (no hiding of lights under bushels) as its the chance to have a crack at this in the privacy of your own space and the judge I've got lined up is lovely (again) so expect nice gentle feedback. Also the rosettes will again be fabulous!!

It is open to anyone so if others want to give it a go they can and it might generate a little for HPEC funds and charity as well which would be great.

There are 4 classes this time with some new tests :eeek:

Class 1 Inhand
Class 2 Walk & Trot
Class 3 Prelim 12
Class 4 Utility/Riding club Pony

All the information I can possibly think of is covered in the information & rules attachment.

There are copies of the inhand test, the walk & trot test and Utility/Riding Club Pony requirements attached and I can email the movements for Prelim 12 if anyone needs these.

If I've forgotten anything then please feel free to shout at me!

Enjoy!!

Thanks Helen. I think I will have to go into training for the working trot across the diagonal in the in-hand test - but will have a go!

We have an Olympus digital camera with video option, said camera has 8 pixels BUT movie turns out small, too small to really see clearly what is happening at the far end of the arena! Or too pixelated if blown up to full screen. We cannot justify a proper camcorder just for this:heh hee::heh hee: so wondered could we record each test twice, once with zoom set for the closer half of the arena & second time set for the far end? Fully appreciate judge does not want to feel seasick as camera operator zooms in & out! Would leave camera running all the time so action at the far end would still appear when zoom set for near end & vice versa.
Not a problem if this to too far outwith the rules, but if one does not ask one does not get a chance to try:)

Yes its open to any flavour horse or pony

And provided whatever film you send works it really doesn't matter, if you end up with 2 versions to watch just put a note in with your entry so I know. We had some with 2 versions last time with instructions to just pick which ever was the best one :heh hee:

So whatever you send shouldn't be a problem but if it is I'll let you know and if its totally impossible to judge (highly unlikely) I'll just refund your entry

Pity I didn't see this earlier - :banghead: I've just finished downloading the videos to a computer that doesn't crash when I try to put them on a disc - could have gone to bed earlier - lol

Grrrrr nash nash, after it took OH an age to read his instructions for the new camera I thought I had missed it. Sadly extension no use as now will not be able to enter due to fetching purple cast....maybe 2011 will be a good year?! Hope judge has a lovely holiday.
