Putting photos into posts

Please please please - in view of the fact that SO MANY of us have difficulties doing this, could someone explain how we do it.

An idiot's guide is what I need.

I get so far, then come up with the instruction "click the http:// button above"

what button ? above where ?

Finally found out how to do it, thanks to Ginny's hint in a post somewhere.

And it's SO SO much simpler than I'd thought - maybe we were all trying too hard.

I first of all reduced the size of my photos to around 10" x 8" using Microsoft Picture It (cos I can't work any of the other Photo Shop type things).

Then I uploaded the pics into my Highland Pony Album.

Then - I'd go to the picture in the Album and click on it to make it the larger size....

...and instead of right-clicking on the photoc and going to Properties like you do for signatures or avatars,

..YOU GO TO THE TOP ADDRESS LINE OF YOUR BROWSER where on most internet browsers it says "Address". You simply copy and paste that into your post. However you won't know whether it works, until you've actually posted your post !
