Copy and paste from Notepad

Jeanette - 6-4-2015 at 11:30 AM

Here's another go at trying to work out what the blinkin heck is happening with my posts and the HPE forum

I want to know if I do a longish bit of text using Notepad and then cut and past from notepad into HPEC whether that will work.

Of course, it might have something to do with the fact that I like to make fun of stuff that goes wrong so I often have excalamation marks in my posts.

I'm also not very good at writing in proper paragraphs or even sentences for that matter. Maybe I need to not use any fancy punctuation.

Or maybe I just need to get very cross and write in STRONG language and use shouty block capitals and bit HPEC forum into submission.

Ok, calm down Jeanette. You'll be revealing how much you talk to yourself next.

Right, that's a longish bit of text and I'm getting bored typing it anyway, so may as well give it a go.

If I post it and the whole thing flakes out on me then I may just give up altogether.

ETA I also like to go back and edit typos

Well it definitely isn't the exclamation marks because I over use them all the time !!!!!

I, for one, have grown to love your navel gazing posts and have been quite missing them. Love hearing about Rannoch. And now waiting for more about Jack.

Jeanette - what happens if you type straight into the post (as opposed to copy/paste)?

Kate, if I'm on my iPhone ( as now ) it's ok. If I'm on my laptop it still occasionally loses it. Oh thinks I need to swap to a different internet browser on my laptop

Do you know what version of Word you are using?
